Nose: Heather, salt, honey, green apple, lemon, roasted nuts, and banana. A touch of minerals in here, no doubt from the Talisker.
Palate: Light bodied, with heather, brine, honey, and lemon tart. Not a rich mouthfeel, but still deeper than the majority of Walkers.
Finish: Medium length, with more heather, brine, honey, orange bitters, butter, pastry, and gentle smoke.
Thoughts: While JW Green has been pulled from the shelves everywhere else, Taiwan was spared this awful fate. It’s a shame that most people don’t have access to this anymore. Whisky enthusiasts absolutely loved it. Unfortunately whisky enthusiasts represent only a fraction of JW sales. The bottom line is that this didn’t sell well enough. Too expensive for college kids and boozers, too cheap to be a fancy holiday gift. Taiwan, fortunately, has a taste for this one. JW Green is a widely popular whisky here in the 4th biggest whisky market in the world, so I guess we got lucky.
Not that I’m rubbing it in or anything…
因為我們台灣是唯一還有販受WALKER GREEN ,我們應該要珍惜.
