Nose: Oak, cherry, molasses, caramel, nuts, Lyle's Golden Syrup, baking spices, orange rind, marzipan, and tobacco. What a rich and busy nose.
Palate: Intense. Molasses, cherries, cajun BBQ sauce, red wine tannins, birch, oak, spices, licorice, maple syrup, and roasted vanilla. Very warming and rich.
Finish: Long. Huge oak, molasses, syrup, maraschino cherries, charcoal, and tobacco.
Thoughts: Easily my favorite of the Small Batch series. This is for bourbon drinkers who are ready to sit at the grown-ups’ table. If you can handle the abv, then you’re in for a hell of a treat. I only use a splash of water here, because it doesn’t bite as hard as you might think. The core flavours are great, and the intensity is something to behold. Not big and dumb at all, this is quite sophisticated. Did I mention that I love this stuff?
*這是JIM BEAM SMALL BATCH中我最喜歡的一款,高濃度的酒精讓整個香味更濃郁更帶勁,儘管高濃度但卻不會讓你覺得有燒喉嚨的感覺.
